We've taken a little liberty with the title, so let's explain it.

Some really fascinating objects are sold on TV, sometimes from a 30-second commercial, sometimes from a 30-minute informercial.  Some of them are quite innovative improvements to existing products, some of them are brand new things.  Some of them are things that we've made fun of for years.  But - if they've been around for years, doesn't that mean people are still buying them?
